- Time Commitment: At this time we are seeking volunteers to work with students in their home. There is a minimum of 3 hours a week for a period of 6 months (ideally a year) . Training is provided. Previous ESL or any teaching experience is preferred but not required. Our ESL program is looking for volunteer tutors to provide online English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to refugees for 3 hours per week. Both the tutor and client are required to commit to this schedule for at least 6 months, or ideally a year. Our clients are all motivated and studious adults. Materials, training and support are provided by our ESL program. Teaching experience of any kind is preferred. As an ESL volunteer, you will truly make a difference in the lives of the students that you teach! We ask volunteers and students to open a gmail account in order to use Google Meet.
