Community ESOL Class
PIA’s Community English courses provide English learners with opportunities to improve communication skills through meaningful conversations and discussion of engaging topics. Students will increase their fluency, expand their vocabulary, and develop greater confidence in using English to connect with others and participate in their communities.
Conversation Partners Program
This free program connects our students with native English speakers for informal, one-on-one conversations. Partners typically meet once a week for about an hour, giving students the opportunity to practice their English in a casual setting while also building meaningful connections with members of the local community.
Pacific International Academy (PIA) is seeking volunteer conversation partners for international students. PIA students, primarily college-aged from Asia and the Middle East, meet with conversation partners once a week for an hour per session. Meetings can be on or off campus, with the first meeting on campus. Students are generally available after 3:30 PM (Mon-Thu) and on Friday.
