ESL classes Level 1-4 are in person on Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 - 8:20pm <br< ESL classes Level 4 -5 are by zoom on Monday and Wednesday 6:00 - 8:20 pm.
Cost is $30 per class
GED classes in person are offered for Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies.

Classes are Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday; evening 5:30 - 7:50 pm or 6:00 - 8:50 pm. See the class schedule for details.
Spanish GED classes are in person on Monday and Wednesday 6:00 - 8:50 pm. Cost is $30 per class but scholarships are available.
Gorge Literacy provides free tutors for ABE, GED, ESOL, Citizenship, Digital Literacy, Classroom Assistance. For tutoring contact Tree Rocha at trocha@cgcc.edu or 541-506-6083 to set up an appointment.

    Volunteer Information

  • Time Commitment: We recommend three hours per week (usually two 1-1/2 hour sessions). Assignment could be 1:1 tutoring or as a classroom assistant. Materials and instructional guidance are provided by Gorge Literacy staff. Prior to being matched with a learner, volunteers attend a 1/2 day training.
  • Times Available: Times are flexible as we try to match the learner with the tutor.
  • Duties: one-to-one tutoring
