Description:

Spring 2021 term starts March 29, 2021
ESL/Volunteer Literacy Tutoring, GED Classes and Citizenship. If you are interested in obtaining your GED call 503-338-2347 or email vgarner@clatsopcc.edu to get started. GED classes are held in person at Clatskanie High School on Monday and Wed 6:00-9:00PM; Monday by Zoom 4:30-7:30pm; Tues and Wed with Zoom 9:00am -12:00; also additional math classes on Tuesday 4:30 - 7:00pm and Wed 3:30 - 7:00 by zoom. ESL classes are in Seaside South County Campus, Warrenton Community Library, Astoria Main Campus, and Cannon Beach; mainly evening classes, Monday-Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 or 9:00 PM; day and time depends upon the location. You do not need to preregister; just show up to the class and the instructors will have the needed forms. ( If you need tutoring call 503-338-2557. Interested in obtaining Citizenship? Type of Assignment: one-to-one tutoring

Time Slots Needed: TBD

Time Commitment Requested: 1 to 2 hours per week. Students and community members interested in assisting those learning to read and to speak English can participate in the volunteer literacy tutor program. Trainings are offered throughout the year (there are 2 three-hour sessions each year) and focus on both adult literacy and English Language Learning.
