Description:

Winter 2021: All ESL classes and Adult drop in tutoring will be online. If you would like to be matched up to a free tutor for English, GED, or Citizenship you can go to the ESL Companions website at www.eslc.us to sign up for a tutor. Or you can contact Lisa Regimbal at Multnomah County Library; email her at lisar@multcolib.org or call her 503-577-9984.

If you are interested, the library now has room for you in a Talk Time online Zoom class. This conversation class is held Wednesdays from 3:00 - 4:30. You would do best in this class with intermediate or advanced English. You can text Lisa at the Multnomah County Library at 503-577-9984 to be put on the list. Pre-COVID schedule
All class at the library are free and no registration required; you can just drop in.
ESL All Levels on Mondays and Fridays 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm - Classes by Goodwill. Wednesdays and Thursdays 6:00 to 7:30 Class by Torus (children welcome). All free; no registration required; just drop in.
Talk Time on Saturdays at 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Intercambio Language Exchange on Sundays 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Adult Literacy Tutoring on Tuesdays at 5:00-7:00 pm - Prepare for the GED, learn to read, life skills
Drop-in to work one-on-one with a tutor. Books and materials are provided. Prepare for the GED: math, language arts, science, and social studies. Learn to read: help for adults who have difficulties with reading. Learn English: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Life skills: reading, writing, and math for daily life. For more information, call 503.988.5123
Citizenship classes also at this site through SOAR (https://www.facebook.com/SOARLegal/?ref=bookmarks): Saturdays, 10:00 to 1:00pm; Winter term starts January 4, 2020; Spring Term starts March 28, 2020
