Winter 2021 term starts January 4, 2022 to March. All classes online; tuition is $25.
ESL classes are from Level 1 to Level 5; GED classes are offered for Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. ESL classes varies by level: classes are M/W or TU/TH 9:00-12:30; also TU/TH 6:00-9:00.
GED class time varies by subject: classes are M/W 5:30-8:30, TU/TH 9:00-11:30, Tu/TH 5:30-8:30.

Type of Assignment: one-to-one tutoring
Time Slots Needed: Times are flexible as we try to match the learner with the tutor. Class periods can be from 8:00AM to 8:00PM, Monday to Friday
Time Commitment Requested: We recommend three hours per week (usually two 1-1/2 hour sessions). Assignment could be 1:1 tutoring or as a classroom assistant. Materials and instructional guidance are provided by Gorge Literacy staff. Prior to being matched with a learner, volunteers attend a 1/2 day training.
