Description:

Free. One-on-one or small group classes. Flexible schedule (weekly or bi-weekly) Generally last 2 hours and can be arranged Monday through Friday between 9 and 5.

We do not have evening or weekend classes currently scheduled, but that could be arranged on a case-by-case basis. The program is one of Trinity’s Outreach programs. Trinity Cathedral is on the Red/Blue MAX lines at Providence Park, and TriMet buses 77, 20, and 15. Childcare at Trinity can be arranged to coincide with classes.

All tutors are required to undergo a basic background check, participate in a SAFE Church in-class or online training session, and submit a signed agreement as to standards of behavior. We do provide periodic in-house training workshops and coaching for our tutors, and we use a variety of teaching resource materials.

This class takes place in a church, but is not a religious class.
